USCG – BWM system type-approval application

The US Coast Guard issued a bulletin stating that it has received an application requesting USCG type-approval for the Optimarin ballast water management (BWM) system. NOAA – record heat

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a news release stating that August marked the 16th consecutive month of record warmth for the globe. In addition, the globally-averaged sea surface temperature was the second warmest on record for August and the warmest for both the season and the year to date. IMO – energy efficiency guides

The IMO issued a news release stating that three new guides have been rolled out for strengthening effective implementation of the IMO energy efficiency regulations. The guides aim to support developing countries in strengthening and developing national regulatory frameworks related to the prevention of air pollution and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from ships.
