BOEM & USGS – inventory of Arctic fish
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) issued a press release stating that it and the US Geological Survey (USGS) completed a report inventorying the 109 fish species found in US marine waters north of the Bering Strait. USCG – Arctic research missions
The US Coast Guard issued a news release announcing that the icebreaker USCGC Healy successfully completed the first of its three planned scientific missions in the Arctic. The first mission, in the Chukchi Sea, carried 46 researchers from the University of Alaska and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NOAA – IOOS PEA
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a notice stating that a Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) has been prepared analyzing the potential environmental impacts associated with the US Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS), leading to a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) to environmental resources. 81 Fed.
