USCG – convictions in oil dumping case
The US Coast Guard issued a news release stating that the owner, operator, and two engineers of the freighter Gallia Graeca were convicted by a federal jury of twelve felony counts related to the dumping of oily water at sea while the ship was on a voyage to Seattle. Alaska – subsea cable-laying
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a notice stating that it issued an incidental harassment authorization (IHA) to Quintillion Subsea Operations to take, by harassment, small numbers of marine mammals incidental to a subsea cable-laying operation in state and federal waters of the Bering, Chukchi, and Beaufort Seas. 81 Fed. EU Council – conclusions on the Arctic
