DOE – US now largest crude oil producer

The Department of Energy (DOE) issued a news release stating that the most recent estimates show that the United States is now the world's largest producer of crude oil, exceeding Saudi Arabia and Russia. In addition, the Freeport LNG project was authorized on 6 September to export up to 2 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas as LNG to both free-trade and non-free-trade countries for a two year period.
