Canada – Arctic marine infrastructure

clip_image010 Transport Canada issued a news release stating that it is now accepting proposals from the governments of Nunavut and Northwest Territories for projects to improve the safety equipment and basic marine infrastructure in the northern territories so as to make Arctic resupply operations safer and more efficient. New Zealand – biofouling regulations guidance

clip_image012 The New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries issued a media release reminding stakeholders that the biofouling regulations enter into effect on 15 May. Singapore – tankers collision

clip_image014 The Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) issued a news release stating that the LPG tanker Crystal Sunrise and the tanker Astro Saturn collided near the western pilot boarding ground. Both vessels incurred damage, but no injuries were reported. The Crystal Sunrise initially leaked some butane cargo, but the discharge has been stopped. The incident is under investigation.
