Gulf of Mexico – bi-national spill response seminar

The US Coast Guard issued a news release stating that a US-Mexico oil spill response seminar was conducted in New Orleans to promote a coordinated response to a pollution event that crosses the border in the Gulf of Mexico. Participating agencies included the US Coast Guard, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Secretaria de Marina, the Agencia de Seguridad, Energia y Ambiente, and the Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos.
