BSEE – investigation of platform explosion & fatality
The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) issued a press release stating that the investigation into the 20 November 2014 explosion and fatality on the West Delta Block 105, Platform E has been completed. Denmark – PSCs to target sulphur compliance
The Danish Maritime Authority (DMA) issued a news release stating that the Paris and Tokyo MOUs have agreed to carry out a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) in 2018 focusing on air pollution from ships, particularly the sulphur content of fuel. Somalia – counter-piracy patrols to continue
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) adopted a resolution with respect to Somalia calling for, among other things, continued counter-piracy patrols in the vicinity for at least another year.
