Alaska – Operation Arctic Shield 2016 concludes

IMO – fuel consumption data collection
The IMO issued a news release stating that the recent session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 70) adopted a requirement, effective 1 March 2018, for the collection of fuel consumption and related data by ships of 5,000 gross tonnage and above. This data will be used to inform future decisions relating to control of greenhouse gas emissions from ships.
